Salsa and more

It's salsa time!

we have a bunch of tomatoes turning red and a few peppers ready for picking. now which ones do we use?

    Ghost Pepper...

   Not so Hot from Burpee.com

    Habanero

even though the peppers are green. they'll still pack a punch in the heat dept. we've not tried the 'not so hot' verity as it's our 1st plant we've grown from seed.

we looked online at Burpee.com to see if they'll turn colors. like red or orange. the photo showes red but the description says green and no reviews on the plant either. maybe we'll be the 1st? how cool!

    4th of July tomatoes
    beefsteak tomatoes.

    lol!

now Diane found this eggplant in the garden. it had a funky growth on it and she immediately decided it needed goggly eyes! haha.

grass on the side if the yard

that grass seed just keeps working. this weekend we will put down another 2 rows of seed. who knows. maybe by the end if summer it'll be all green green grass?! woohoo!

more grass around our stepping stones.

my experiment in making sod. these were seeded 6 days ago. I'll be seededing more containers this weekend.

   corn

the corn is getting ready to produce ears.  we put down a little fertilizer and have been watering daily/when needed. this time our stalks are super healthy and green.

   watermellon

Diane's bird of paradise started blooming

and her sunflowers in the front yard

hard to see. but this is a stevia plant. $5 at wallmart. Diane already made clippings and has started 8 more plants from this one. 3 are in an arrangement, 2 are next to the watermellon in the garden and the rest are still in pots maturing.
