Salsa and some disappointment

  Diane had me pick some things from the garden. all of this will go into her salsa including a lime and garlic. (our limes are not ready yet) :(

 the long jalapeño you see is a 'not so hot' special variety from Burpee.com and before we placed it into our salsa - we tried a small piece 1st. 

 now... I'm not for spicy or hot things. I do like wasabie, partly because the hear hits you and then goes away quickly. unlike peppers - the hear lingers bite after bite. 

 but Diane cut off a small piece and we tried it straight up. here's what happened...

 so as you can see. the heat is just non-existent. now we do have more on the plant, and we are going to let them develop more and see if they do at some point get hotter.

 for now. We are grabbing a beer along with our salsa and are going outside to enjoy the beautiful day.
